The Forestwood Middle School Choir Program has a long tradition of musical excellence and is proud to be part of the nationally respected Flower Mound High School choir family. Throughout the years, Forestwood singers have consistently earned Superior ratings at UIL Concert & Sight-Reading Evaluation, Solo & Ensemble Contest, and other performance opportunities. The program has experienced tremendous growth, serving more than 250 students across six choirs, and continues to inspire young musicians through outstanding performances and meaningful musical experiences. Most recently, Forestwood's varsity tenor-bass choir, Cantus, was selected to perform at the prestigious 2026 Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Convention—an honor reserved for some of the finest choirs in the state.
As we begin this exciting new chapter, our commitment remains the same: to create a choir program where every student feels challenged, supported, and inspired. At Forestwood, choir is more than learning notes and rhythms. It is a place where students discover their voices, develop confidence, build lasting friendships, and experience the joy of making music together.
We believe that every student has something valuable to contribute. Through teamwork, dedication, and a pursuit of excellence, our singers grow not only as musicians but also as leaders, problem-solvers, and compassionate members of our school and community. Our goal is to cultivate a lifelong love of music while helping every student find a place where they belong.
